SYV Community Theater Presents

Annie - Buellton Community Theater Production

April 17 & 18, 2026

Performances at Solvang Theaterfest

April 17 & 18, 2026

Performances at Solvang Theaterfest

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Participants will engage in an immersive journey that builds performance skills, fosters collaboration, and culminates in a fully staged production of Annie to be held at the Solvang Theatrefest. Designed for aspiring performers of all experience levels, this FREE program combines training in acting, voice, and movement with hands-on rehearsal experience. A unique highlight of the production is the integration of four professional actors, who will work alongside local thespians both onstage and in mentorship roles, elevating the overall artistic quality while offering valuable learning opportunities. From auditions and character development to final curtain call, the program offers a comprehensive and inspiring theatrical experience for the entire community. The actors in the play (and any interested Buellton residents) will also receive the opportunity to participate in three FREE workshops led by our professional guest artists! Not looking to be on stage but still want to join the fun? We’re also seeking sponsors and volunteers to be part of our stage crew and to help backstage! This is more than just a play—it’s a celebration of the performing arts, a platform to inspire artists of all ages, and a powerful reminder of the importance of multi-generational theatre in the Santa Ynez Valley. If you have any questions, please reach out to Allison Firey at 918-557-2996 or email syvannie2026@gmail.com.

Rehearsal Schedule: We will not have a definite rehearsal schedule until after the show is cast, but rehearsals will start Mid-February and run through the show’s performances. You can expect 1-2 rehearsals a week until April 10. As it gets closer to the show, actors will be called to rehearsal more frequently, but we will do our best to work around conflicts.  Please also note that all actors must be back from any Spring Break trips in time for rehearsal on April 10th as they will definitely be called every day from April 10-April 18.
